BCBA services through LovetoLearnMD, LLC are direct time with BCBAs only. Services are delivered in your home, day-care, private school, or community. Services include the following areas of focus:
Decreasing behaviors that could impact a child socially and/or academically by increasing prosocial behaviors such as effective communication, conflict-resolution, self-awareness, cooperation, and self-advocacy.
Teaching activities of daily living and life skills including (but not limited to) dressing, toilet training, increasing positive mealtime behaviors and experiences, and community-based routines. We strongly believe in collaboration with other professionals including but not limited to speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, special education teachers, and clinical psychologists.
Family training is a critical component of services in order to ensure the generalization of skills. Family involvement can provide emotional support, practical assistance, and motivation, all of which contribute to more positive long-term results. The key is that this support is meaningful and consistent, addressing both the emotional and practical needs of the person receiving it. Family training can focus on any of the above areas depending on clinical necessity and social validity.
Attending IEP meetings to serve a support for families, specifically in discussing the child’s private treatment and effective teaching strategies/recommendations
Why self-pay?
Having a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) working closely with your family is indeed an intimate experience. Opting to pay out-of-pocket rather than using insurance can have several advantages that contribute to a stronger, more personalized relationship between you and your BCBA. Here are some key benefits:
Increased flexibility: Self-pay often provides more flexibility in scheduling and treatment plans. Insurance companies may have rigid requirements and limitations, but self-payment allows for more adaptable and responsive care tailored to your family’s unique needs.
Personalized care: Without the constraints of insurance, BCBAs can focus more on individualized treatment rather than adhering to specific insurance guidelines or protocols. This often leads to a more customized approach that better aligns with your family’s specific goals and priorities.
Faster access to services: Insurance approval processes can be time-consuming, potentially delaying the start of important interventions. Paying out-of-pocket often means less red tape, allowing you to begin services more quickly.
Comprehensive services: Insurance might limit the types or amount of services covered. Self-pay can give you access to a broader range of services and supports, such as collaborating with other professionals, ensuring that your child’s treatment is consistent across environments.
Confidentiality and privacy: Self-pay can offer greater privacy, as there’s less need to share personal and sensitive information with insurance companies. This can contribute to a more trusting and secure relationship between you and your BCBA.
Continuity of care: Insurance policies can sometimes change, affecting coverage and continuity of care. By choosing self-pay, you can maintain a stable and ongoing therapeutic relationship without the risk of disruptions due to changes in insurance policies.
Direct communication: Without the involvement of insurance companies, communication can be more direct and straightforward. This can enhance the rapport between you and your BCBA, fostering a better collaborative environment.
By considering these factors, many families find that self-pay can be a worthwhile investment in achieving the best possible outcomes for their loved ones.
While we strive to provide high-quality care, our payment/service model may not be appropriate for everyone. Some clients may require more intensive services. If this is determined following the results of the assessment, referrals to other providers will be provided.
